Sky Sport Italia’s correspondent Peppe Di Stefano claims Milan ultras could stage a ‘silent’ protest in a Serie A match against Genoa on Sunday as they demand ‘clarity’ over the club’s future and regarding the next coach.

Milan ultras in Curva Sud could stage a protest in the upcoming Serie A match against Genoa while club directors search for Stefano Pioli’s successor.

The Rossoneri mathematically secured a Champions League spot last weekend and are enjoying a five-point lead over third-placed Juventus with just four games remaining.

However, tension is apparently running high among the fans who are anxiously waiting for the club to pick Pioli’s replacement given that the Italian tactician is expected to be sacked at the end of the season.

Why Milan ultras could stage silent protest vs. Genoa

Sky Sport Italia’s Peppe Di Stefano has revealed that Ultras could even stage a protest in the next Serie A match against Genoa on Sunday.

“Ultras could remain silent or even protest because they want clarity on Milan’s future,” the journalist said on Thursday, as quoted by Milannews.

Most Rossoneri supporters seemed unhappy with the club’s decision to hire Julen Lopetegui, and according to multiple sources in Italy, this was one of the reasons club directors dropped the Spaniard.

Milan won the Serie A title under Pioli in 2021-22 but will finish a second consecutive campaign empty-handed and lost the last six derbies against Inter, including the most recent one at the end of April, which allowed their city rivals to win their 20th title.
