The Cleveland Browns are doing themselves a favor by helping out an old friend as well.
Cleveland has traded OT Leroy Watson to the Tennessee Titans for a seventh-round pick. It will be pick No. 227 overall from the Titans to be exact for the young tackle. Cleveland traded him to where former Browns offensive line coach Bill Callahan now resides.

Cleveland only has five total picks in the upcoming draft, so adding another selection even if it is late is key. It helps the Browns have the flexibility to make a trade-up if they want to. The Browns do not have a first-round pick, so adding an extra pick makes sense on that front as well.
Watson played in seven games for the Browns last season and it was the first seven games of his NFL career officially. The 25-year-old was signed by the Atlanta Falcons in 2022 after going undrafted, then spent time with the San Francisco 49ers before coming to Cleveland.
While he was no lock to make the roster, Watson was in line to be a third-string offensive tackle. After Jedrick Wills Jr. and Jack Conklin will be impressive second-year tackle Dawand Jones and free agent addition Hakeem Adeniji. James Hudson still is in town and able to play either tackle spot.
A Friday news dump of a trade involving a player that not many saw coming. That is an Andrew Berry move if there ever was one.
